To live a consecrated life in the world united to the mission of Christ the Priest, deepening communion with the Eucharistic Priesthood and witnessing priestly holiness through prayer, fidelity, and apostolic activity.

Short History

The Servants of Christ the Priest (S.C.P.) were established on 21 November 1956 in the Diocese of Umzimkulu (South Africa) by Fr. André Blais as a secular institute dedicated to supporting and living the mystery of Christ’s priesthood in everyday life. From the beginning, members have focused on communion with the Eucharistic Priesthood and fostering holiness among clerics and the faithful alike.
Over the years the institute has grown within the Catholic Church, especially in southern Africa, with members living in the world while practicing the evangelical counsels of consecrated life and promoting the dignity and mission of the priesthood. Its members witness to Christ the Priest through prayerful life, apostolic service, and collaboration with the local Church.
